AvtoVAZ, which owns a plant in Izhevsk, will offer permanent jobs at other enterprises in the city and the region with 5-7 average wages or 12 minimum wages (about 183,000 rubles). A one-time payment of 7 average salaries will be offered to employees of pre-retirement age at the time of early retirement.
The company claims that mass layoffs are not planned. The plant is supposed to organize import substitution of foreign parts, "open an industrial park" and "implement a project to produce a new car," Volga News reports.
