The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Schlumberger to respond to a report alleging that Schlumberger is one of the oilfield services companies that “…have continued to work in Myanmar after the military’s attempted coup, helping the flow of gas – and revenues vital to the junta – to continue.” The report alleges that “Schlumberger’s recent customers in Myanmar include POSCO International, Woodside Energy, TotalEnergies and Petronas.” The report further alleges that “MOGE made multiple payments to Schlumberger in 2022.” The report asserts that “…oilfield services companies have made themselves complicit with the junta as it commits war crimes and crimes against humanity against the people of Myanmar.”

Schlumberger did not respond.
