UAE “deported workers who protested seeking better conditions”

Some 80 construction workers, most of them Indians, have been deported from Dubai after protests seeking better pay and living conditions, reports said on Sunday. A worker from the Al Ahmadiyah Contracting and Trade company who asked not to be named because he was afraid of reprisals from the company said the men were taken Thursday and Friday night.
