In Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Region, PJSC Sukha Balka discharges mine water that has not received proper treatment into a storage pond, causing pollution of Ingulets River with dozens of harmful substances. Such a conclusion was reached by specialists of the State Environmental Inspection (DEI), who conducted an inspection of the mine. According to the head of the department Andrii Malyovany, such discharges contain chlorides, ammonium nitrogen, suspended solids, iron, oil products, nitrates, nitrites, sulfates, phenols, phosphates. As a result, pollutants have adverse impact on Ingulets River, which is an important source of drinking and agricultural water supply in the Kryvyi Rih region.
