Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) did not respond

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre to invited Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) to respond to allegations of human rights and environmental abuses of nickel mining and smelting in Indonesia as outlined in the Climate Rights International report. According to the report, people who were interviewed alleged “serious threats to their land rights, rights to practice their traditional ways of life, right to access clean water, and right to health due to the mining and smelting activities at IWIP and nearby nickel mining areas.”

IWIP did not respond.
