Myanmar: Workers at Myanmar Bestex Garment factory report series of labour rights abuses incl. managers throwing objects at workers & verbal abuse; incl. co. responses

In July 2023, it was reported that garment workers at Myanmar Bestex Garment faced a series of violations, including workers’ social security payments being denied for over three months, delaying wage payments, denial of wages if workers don’t work on Sundays, verbal abuse and managers throwing things at workers, denial of wages if workers miss a day at work and punishment if you workers didn’t work overtime at night.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited LPP S.A for its Sinsay and MOHITO brands, OVS S.p.A and RBX Active to respond. The responses can be found below.
