An employee of Artem-1 mine, which is part of the mine management of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, died in Kryvyi Rih. The fact of the death was confirmed to Suspilne by the spokesperson for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Anna Gatylova.

According to law enforcement officials, the employee was sprinkled with ore while performing hazardous work. The 48-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries.

"Criminal proceedings have been opened under the article 'Violation of safety rules during the performance of work with increased danger'," said Oksana Lesonen, a spokeswoman for the Kryvyi Rih police.
