Bangladesh: Workers claim they have not received owed wage uplift , incl. co. responses

In December 2022, it was reported that workers at Malinichara (Malnicherra) Tea Estate had protested non-payment of owed wage uplift and demanded additional food rations and educational funding for their children.

The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited Unilever to respond as its 2021 tea supplier list included Malinichara. Unilever confirmed that it did not source from the estate in 2022.
