Brazil: Amazon and Disney allegedly buy ore from firm investigated for illegal activities on the Yanomami Indigenous Land

Agência Brasil

A review carried out by Folha de S.Paulo found that White Solder Metallurgy and Mining, a global tin producer investigated by the Federal Police for illegal mining on the Yanomami Indigenous Land, is said to be a supplier to companies such as Amazon, Disney and Starbucks.

Starbucks told Folha that it "is committed to ethical sourcing in its supply chain and has no current contracts" with White Solder.

We invited Amazon and Disney to comment on the allegations. Amazon's response is available. Disney has not responded.
