Indonesia: Explosion reportedly injures two workers six months after furnace fire claimed 21 lives inside same nickel smelter in Morowali; incl. co. comments

An alleged explosion at PT Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel (ITSS) inside the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) left two workers injured. In December 2023, 21 workers died following a furnace fire at a plant owned by ITSS.

IMIP Media Relation Manager of IMIP, Dedy Kurniawan, however, denied that the accident was caused by an explosion in ITSS (linked below).
