KAZ Minerals miners died during blasting operations in Eastern Kazakhstan, 18 June 2020

In the mine of the Orlovsky production complex of Vostoktsvetmet LLP, in the East Kazakhstan region, two workers died during blasting operations. Another miner was taken to hospital.

The accident occurred...in the Borodulikha district. This was reported on the website of the KAZ Minerals group.

“On 16 June 2020, at about 10 p.m., two workers of the Orlovskaya mine were killed during blasting operations. Another victim was taken to the Borodulikha district hospital for further medical examination,” the statement says.

The circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified. A special commission has been created to investigate the tragic incident.
