Lidl's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories - Nov 2023 update

[...]

Initially, we identified the factories that are part of our supply chain, i.e. Hakers Enterprise Myanmar, Dong Long (Pathein) Garment Company Limited, Myanmar Taieasy Textile(MTT) Company Limited and AMG Factory Limited. In the next step, we will reach out to our direct suppliers and request a statement on this matter. Should the allegations be substantiated, we will investigate them further and initiate appropriate remediation measures.

Please understand that, due to the ongoing proceedings, we cannot provide any information on the specific investigative measures contemplated here...

We would like to note that we do not have a business relationship to Sung Bo and Shinsung Garment. Furthermore, we have already terminated the business relationship to Myanmar Guotai Huasheng Glory Fashion Co.,Ltd and Myanmar Knitting Factory in 2022 and 2021.
