Matalan's Response

...when this issue was first raised with us in March 2021 we carefully investigated the concerns. At this time we received written confirmation from the Group’s management that the vast majority of Violet Apparel workers had collected the compensation legally due to them. We understand that the small minority of those who had opted not to collect the provision were urged to contact Ramatex to receive this. To add further detail, Ramatex chose not to continue the relationship with Matalan in December 2020. We have not placed any orders with any entities in the Ramatex group since that time and their account was subsequently deactivated...
