Myanmar: 570 garment workers denied compensation after factory closure; incl. co. responses

On 3 April 2021, Dishang Kenny garment factory allegedly closed temporarily without prior notice, leaving 570 workers without owed wages and severance pay.

In June 2022, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited BESTSELLER, Inditex, and KIABI to respond. In September 2024, Shimamura, K-Way and LPP (for its RESERVED brand) were invited to respond. Full responses can be found below.
