Myanmar: Garment worker reportedly dismissed for refusing to work overtime until dawn; Incl. co. responses

On 17 July 2023, a worker at Hong Miao Garment factory was reportedly dismissed for not working overtime until dawn. The worker had reportedly been working all night from 10 July, and on 15 July, reported being in pain and feeling too tired to work, and rested in the designated rest area.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Paseos (for its Suffuse brand) and Shimamura (for its Closshi brand) to respond. The responses can be found below.
