In February 2022, it was reported that workers at Jiangsu Soho factory were facing a series of violations in the factory, including non-payment of overtime, wage deductions, threats of dismissal and non-payment of wages, and threats of arrest by the military.

It was also reported that 10 workers who spoke out on social media about worker rights abuses at the factory were dismissed.

In June 2022 Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Aldi South, BESTSELLER, Mango, Next and Benetton Group to respond. Aldi South, BESTSELLER and Next responded. Mango and Benetton Group did not. The full responses are included below.
