Myanmar: Garment workers at Kfine International Garment workers face multiple labour rights abuses; incl. co. responses

In June 2023, it was reported that workers at the Kfine International Garment (Myanmar) faced a series of violations, including the denial of permanent contracts for day labourers, who face poor working conditions, such as reduced overtime pay, mandatory overtime or else they face dismissal without payment, verbal abuse and excessive production targets. Many of the day labourers are reported to be 13-15 years old. Workers also reported pregnant workers being illegally fired without reason.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited BESTSELLER and LPP S.A (for its Reserved brand) to respond. The responses can be found below.
