'Workers at the YOYIKA Garment factory in Shwe Linban Industrial Zone were forced to work overtime', 2 July 2023

The YOYIKA Garment factory, which opened near the intersection of Shwe Lim Van Industrial Zone in Hlaing Thayar Township, is forcing workers to work overtime.

A worker said, "Overtime is called ...We are tired and can't speak... We can't work. We can't go back because we're sick.... We only get medicine from the factory clinic," said a worker.

It is reported that the factory ...operates with about 500 workers, making jackets.

... if the workers do not work overtime...they will force them to quit.

... the workers want to work in a healthy manner ... they want to call for overtime only until 6:00 p.m.
