Upper Don Department of Rostechnadzor suspended operation of technical devices and facilities of JSC Lebedinsky GOK, 18 October 2023

The Verkhne-Donsk Department of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostechnadzor) revealed 145 violations of industrial safety requirements during the operation of Lebedinsky GOK's facilities.

It was found that:

- the company's employees are not certified in accordance with the requirements; - equipment and transport maintenance is not carried out;

- mining operations with deviations from those agreed by Rostechnadzor are allowed in violation of the established requirements;

- production control over the condition of underground mine workings is not carried out.

Officials of JSC Lebedinsky GOK were brought to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 9.1 and part 2 of article 9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation.
