Bourns response
Bourns has not made any sales of any product to Russia directly or indirectly based on point of sale data through distributors since day after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022. Bourns has a block on direct shipments to sanctioned states in our enterprise resourcing planning system, including Russia, Belarus and North Korea.
Bourns ceased to do business with our four local distribution partners in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022. All Bourns distribution partners are required contractually to comply with applicable law and we audit our distributors’ sales through review of their point of sale reports. Bourns point of sales data for its remaining distribution partners do not show any sales to Russia or Belarus after February 24, 2022.
Bourns amended its standard Terms and Conditions of Sale with customers and is in the process of amending its contracts with its European distributors to incorporate a no Russia clause in keeping with Article 12g of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014.
As an extra layer of protection, Bourns has a program which oversees exports of our branded goods from China. Since sanctions were imposed on Russia, one shipment from China to Russia was notified to Bourns, the goods were determined to be counterfeit goods, ceased and destroyed.
Finally, we have requested and instructed that our authorized distribution and sales partners respect our group-wide policies, described above, and cooperate with the prevention of illicit diversions.
