Accident at the ArcelorMittal Temirtau plant: two were hospitalised, 26 May 2021
An accident occurred in one of the workshops of the metallurgical plant of the ArcelorMittal Temirtau company in the Karaganda region. Two workers were “hospitalised in intensive care with 3rd and 4th degree burns,” their condition is assessed as serious, the regional health department told RFE/RL.
— There was a spill of molten cast iron in the converter shop, without subsequent combustion. The spill area was 20 square meters. As a result, two people received burns and were hospitalised, the Department of Emergency Situations of the Karaganda Region told RFE/RL.
