Asda response re forced labour in Spain

An Asda spokesperson said:

"We are committed to ensuring that all workers throughout our supply chain are treated fairly and we take all allegations of abuse seriously, which is why we are investigating the claims within this report. We recognise that there are widespread concerns about standards within the region, so we are working closely with our suppliers and in collaboration with other retailers and organisations such as the Ethical Trading Initiative and Spanish Ethical Forum to uphold standards and resolve issues for workers within our supply chains."
