Australia: ANZ says it is reviewing claims it has financed climate change made in OECD complaint

... [Survivors of the] bushfires... [who have] join[ed] environmental group Friends of the Earth in lodging a complaint against ANZ... hope the bank will improve its climate policies.
ANZ said it is reviewing their claims.
"Since the Paris Agreement was reached in 2015, our exposure to thermal coal has decreased by 50 per cent and we expect this trend to continue," an ANZ spokesman told AAP.
"ANZ has been clear that the bank's thermal coal exposure has, and will continue to, significantly reduce over time."
The complaint... alleges the bank has not adhered to the OECD's Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, including a failure to be fully transparent about its "indirect emissions", or those it contributes to by financing the fossil fuel industry...
