Claas response
At CLAAS, it is an integral part of our corporate culture to conduct our business in full compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. This, of course, includes compliance with all sanctions and other restrictions imposed on business activities with Russia, or more generally Russian entities.
We recognize our ethical responsibilities as a producer and supplier of combine harvesters. In light of this responsibility,
- CLAAS has put in place appropriate internal mechanisms and tools to carry out enhanced due diligence of our supply chains, intermediaries, customers, and end-users to understand the risk of our products’ diversion to Russia.
- CLAAS considers potential red flags that suggest the use of front companies that may hide the true end-users of our products with the intend of evading sanctions and export controls.
- CLAAS has taken actions to prevent re-export of its products to Russia. For example, we have implemented contractual obligations and monitor our independent distributors.
Please understand that we cannot provide any further details of the specific measures taken as the disclosure of this sensitive business data may jeopardize the intended effect.
