“Do you have policies and procedures in place to prevent your business activities or investment from contributing to human rights abuses and social conflict in Myanmar?”  This is one of the questions that the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, an international NGO, asked to more than 100 foreign companies investing or operating in Myanmar through a tracking project launched in November 2014. Only half of the companies approached have responded and only a quarter actually provided relevant information on their human rights policies and due diligence efforts in Myanmar.
