In July 2021, the American ice-cream giant, Ben & Jerry's announced that it will no longer sell its ice cream in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), saying it was "inconsistent with our values”, adding however that it "will stay in Israel through a different arrangement".

Ben & Jerry’s has licensed a factory in Israel for more than three decades, shipping ice cream from the factory to Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The Israeli Government on the other hand has threatened to use controversial anti-boycott laws that pro-Israel advocates have won in more than 30 US states to punish Ben & Jerry's for its decision.
