Myanmar: Garment workers report multiple rights abuses at factory incl. child labour & denial of leave; incl. co. response

In January 2024, it was reported that workers at Wonderful Apparel were facing a series of violations, including verbal and physical abuse if workers fail to meet targets, overnight shifts without providing transport that put workers at risk when returning home, dismissal without compensation if workers take medical leave for more than two days, wage cuts if workers take emergency leave, dismissal if workers refuse to work overtime, and the hiring of child labourers who are expected to meet the same targets as adult workers.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited New Yorker and TROLLKIDS to respond. They did not.
