Alsico Group's response to rejoinder from IndustriALL

... In Madagascar, we saw a deputy union delegate, pretending to be a personnel delegate, using Facebook for social information whereas, on one hand, article 152 of the Labour Code makes the role of the union delegate incompatible with those of the personnel delegate and on the other hand the information must be provided internally on dedicated boards according to article 17 paragraph 4 of the Arrêté 28968/2011.

The mother company Alsico strives to contribute to an economy that guarantees basic social rights. We do this by relying in all our sites on strong local management that promotes our values and always puts social dialogue first...

The person concerned... acted according to his own rules, firstly without the consent of his fellow personnel delegates and of the titular union delegate whom he was supposed to replace, and secondly in defiance of the legal provisions applicable in Madagascar concerning social information.

...[W]e must let the court do its work. It is not up to us to comment on the decisions of judges or to command or pressure the judiciary
