The issue of terminating the license will be considered by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The permit was valid since February 2019, it was received by RMK’s subsidiary, Alexandrinskaya Mining Company (AGC). According to the terms of the contract, AGC was to begin geological exploration within nine months. However, work started only in the summer of 2020.
Environmental activists opposed copper mining in Bashkiria - they fear that RMK will pollute underground drinking water.
