Swedish telecom giant Ericsson allegedly paid bribes to Islamic State to sustain its business in Iraq, leaked documents show; incl. co. comments

In February 2022 an internal investigation report was leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, showing how Swedish telecoms company Ericsson allegedly helped pay bribes to the Islamic State terrorist group, in order to continue selling its services after the militants seized control of large parts of Iraq. Further, the leaked investigation alleged that the firm put its contractors at risk, and it also linked Ericsson to corruption in over 10 countries around the world.
