…We wrote…to Mr. Alistair King [representative in Belize of] US Capital Energy Limited…requesting that all seismic activities be stopped within Conejo’s communal lands…It has come to our attention…that…Mr. Alistair has publicly stated that the company intends to continue to pursue seismic work…[saying]…that 32 of 33 men from Conejo, who work with the company signed onto a letter giving their approval…[But] we state…that…the majority of the villagers…have expressed…that they are not in agreement with [this type of] activities…[because] the company is in clear violation of the Order of…Belize Supreme Court as well as the clear conditions for their seismic testing permit, which expressly excludes Conejo lands.
