In connection with the introduction of modern technologies, reconstruction and modernisation of technological equipment, as well as a decrease in production rates, which is a consequence of the military aggression of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the company reduced emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by 70% from 2021 to 2023 ( from 210.6 thousand tons in 2021 to 63.6 thousand tons in 2023).

Between 2021-2023, a number of environmental measures were implemented:

• in Sinter Plant No. 2, sintering machine No. 3 was reconstructed with the construction of a new, modern gas treatment units (GTU), and a new GTU from the transshipment nodes was also built, which made it possible to reduce emissions by approximately 500 tons, taking into account the nominal capacity of the technological units;
• obsolete technological facilities were decommissioned:

- coke batteries No. 1, 2;

- five sintering machines of the sintering workshop of metallurgical production;

- blast furnace No. 5;

- rotary kiln No. 1 of the refractory-lime shop.

The total reduction of emissions from the shutdown of units amounted to 40.9 thousand tons, taking into account the nominal capacity of technological units.

Also, in the 1st quarter of 2024, blast furnace No. 7 was decommissioned. Expected decrease in emissions of polluting substances - 5.7 thousand tons.

Despite the difficult conditions caused by the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, PJSC "AMKR" continues to gradually implement environmental protection measures.

Dust suppression measures are carried out annually, namely measures to reduce emissions during mass explosions, map washing technology is carried out, dusting surfaces are fixed with binders at tailings and dump sites, quarries, a set of dust suppression measures is carried out on highways and streets in the affected area activity. Permanent ecological monitoring of the quality of the environment is carried out, measures are taken to beautify and green the territory of the enterprise and the city, and work is carried out on the localisation and elimination of quarantine plants.

In Kryvyi Rih in 2023, the air pollution index (API) was 7.43, which is 15% lower than in 2022 (8.77) and 38% lower than in 2021 (12.13) ( https://ecopolitic. com.ua/news/v-krivom-roge-za-2023-god-umenshilos-zagryaznenie-vozduha/)

Thus, Kryvyi Rih occupies 13th place in the rating of Ukrainian cities, i.e. it has left the rating of the top 10 cities of Ukraine with the highest level of pollution.

У зв'язку із впровадженням сучасних технологій, реконструкції та модернізації технологічного обладнання, а також зниженням темпів виробництва, що є наслідком військової агресії російської федерації на території України, підприємством з 2021 по 2023 рік було знижено викиди забруднюючих речовин в атмосферне повітря на 70% (з 210,6 тис. тонн у 2021 році до 63,6 тис. тонн у 2023 році).

За період 2021-2023 рр. виконано низку екологічних заходів:

• в АЦ № 2 реконструйовано агломашину №3 з будівництвом нової сучасної ГОУ, а також збудовано нову ГОУ від перевантажувальних вузлів, що дозволило знизити викиди орієнтовно на 500 т з урахуванням номінальної потужності технологічних агрегатів;
• виведено з експлуатації застарілі технологічні потужності:

- коксові батареї № 1, 2;

- 5 агломашин агломераційного цеху металургійного виробництва;

- доменну піч №5;

- обертову піч №1 вогнетривно-вапняного цеху.

Загальне зниження викидів від зупинки агрегатів склало 40,9 тис.т з урахуванням номінальної потужності технологічних агрегатів.

Також, у 1 кварталі 2024 року виведено з експлуатації доменну піч №7. Очікуване зниження викидів забруднюючих речовин - 5,7 тис.т.

Незважаючи на складні умови, що зумовлені введенням в Україні воєнного стану, ПАТ «АМКР» продовжує поступово виконувати природоохоронні заходи.

Щорічно виконуються заходи з пилопридушення, а саме заходи зі скорочення викидів при здійсненні масових вибухів, здійснюється технологія картового намиву, виконується закріплення пилуючих поверхонь зв'язуючими речовинами на хвостосховищах та відвалах, кар'єрах, виконується комплекс заходів з пилопригнічення автошляхів, вулиць в зоні впливу діяльності. Проводиться постійний екологічний моніторинг за якістю навколишнього середовища, виконуються заходи з благоустрою та озеленення території підприємства та міста, виконуються роботи щодо локалізації та ліквідації карантинних рослин.

У Кривому Розі у 2023 році індекс забруднення атмосфери (ІЗА) склав 7,43, що на 15% нижче ніж у 2022 році (8,77) та на 38% ніж у 2021 (12,13) ( https://ecopolitic.com.ua/news/v-krivom-roge-za-2023-god-umenshilos-zagryaznenie-vozduha/)
Таким чином, в рейтингу міст України Кривий Ріг займає 13 місце, тобто вийшов з Рейтингу топ-10 міст України з найбільшим рівнем забруднення.
