H&M's response re. Indochine Apparel

There are many worrying practices reported by workers from Indochine Apparel PLC and KGG Garments PLC. KGG is not an H&M Group supplier. We visited Indochine in November 2020, and found no evidence of unpaid or forced overtime. Better Work also visited the facility in December 2020 and found no evidence of unpaid working hours, nor any similar complaints from the 61 workers that they interviewed. Better Work noted that hours in the factory were too high, and received a commitment from the factory management to lower the hours. The Better Work report was just published a few days ago, and we will follow up on the Better Work findings with the factory as per our normal working routines.

Indochine had COVID-19 safety training by the Government Health Bureau and Industrial Park administration in 2020. Better Work has provided a video and posters for awareness raising for workers and managers. There is optional, free COVID-19 testing available for workers in the industrial park. Our visit in November was party to follow up on this training as the safety and health of all workers in our supplier factories, and of all staff of course, is of utmost concern to us.
