An article published , exposes the controversial decision of Royal Air Maroc to lay off 140 employees, including 65 pilots including 61 pilots as a result the COVID-19 crisis.

The article mentions that workers and their union representatives suggested cutting wages for all workers in order to overcome the financial impact of covid-19 but that layoff was preferred as an option to overcome the economic crisis.

In a video collecting the testimonies of the dismissed pilots - presented below-, the Moroccan Association of Airline Pilots (AMPL) denounces this dismissal claiming to be the subject of "targeting" and "social cleansing"
The resource and human rights center contacted Royal Air Maroc in order to respond to these allegations. Royal Air Maroc did not respond.
