Issuing his first statements on the NDA government's Land Acquisition ordinance, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday the Samajwadi Party was unequivocally opposed to any decision that went against the interest of farmers...Opposition parties across the country have been vocal in their criticism of the land ordinance saying the changes have been made to "favour the interests of corporate houses and real estate barons." Akhilesh, however, said, the SP would oppose the NDA government's decision if it found that the new ordinance was not in favour of farmers.
