The President of the southern province, Philippe Gomes, yesterday condemned the violence of Rheebu Nuu and refuted the arguments presented by the Committee of Raphael Mapou concerning the absence of dialogue and of the taking into account of the environment. If the attacks against Goro Nickel are serious in themselves given the damage caused and the fact that work has stopped on the construction site, they are equally serious in terms of the reactions to which they have given rise within the local community, stated Philippe Gomes yesterday.
