...We take these allegations very seriously and have investigated fully. We are confident that the reports providing the basis to this enquiry are incorrect.

The statement on social media about the actions taken by the supervisor in question is not from an IKEA co-worker, but from an employee of the Bonaire shopping centre. There is no link with IKEA Spain or Ingka Group ...

Contrary to some reports, IKEA Spain has sought to protect all co-workers, as well as the hundreds of anonymous citizens whom IKEA cared for, provided with food, blankets, shelter and allowed to sleep in its facilities (see screenshots of public testimonies below) ...

IKEA Valencia co-workers who were on site at the time, were fortunately in a safe place and took care of, protected, and saved the lives of dozens of people, including workers from nearby companies ...

For all of the above, IKEA Spain states in response to some media reports, that at no time was the life of any co-worker put at risk ...
