The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Muhibbah Engineering to respond to a report alleging that Muhibbah Engineering is one of the oilfield services companies that “…have continued to work in Myanmar after the military’s attempted coup, helping the flow of gas – and revenues vital to the junta – to continue.” The report alleges that in 2022, Muhibbah Engineering “…completed an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning contract for the Yetagun Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU) project, according to its annual report.” The report asserts that “…oilfield services companies have made themselves complicit with the junta as it commits war crimes and crimes against humanity against the people of Myanmar.”

Muhibbah Engineering did not respond.
