Myanmar: Garment workers at Lat War garment factory reportedly fainting & vomiting due to overnight shifts; incl. co. responses
In September 2023, it was reported that workers at Lat War garment factory were facing a series of violations, including health issues caused by workers working overnight incl. vomiting and fainting, no rest areas for workers to work overtime, pregnant workers forced to meet high targets with other workers and denied leave from the factory if they feel unwell, workers yelled at when they take toilet breaks, and reduced pay for workers who didn't work the Sunday they were scheduled to work in order to cover work they missed due to the public holiday.
