A Ground Up report claims that evidence presented at the Marikana Commission, shows that a loan of US$150mil was made available to Lonmin by the International Finance Corporation - part of it for a "large-scale community development programme". This, it is alleged, undermines Lonmin's claim that it could not afford to honour it's agreement to provide housing for workers.
