Labour migrants and access to justice in contemporary Qatar

"Labour migrants and access to justice in contemporary Qatar", Nov 2014

The research team’s goal was threefold: to provide an overview of the aspects of Qatar’s migration system that produce injustices and a summary of the problems that typically arise in migrants’ labour relations; to collate the experiences of migrants in the state-sponsored system designed to evaluate and adjudicate migrant grievances; and drawing upon the experiences of the transnational labourers immersed in that justice system, to propose a set of policy recommendations that might incrementally improve labour migrants’ access to justice in Qatar.
