UK: Supreme Court rules that Uber drivers are workers, not independent contractors & are entitled to workers' rights

On 19 February 2021, the UK Supreme Court ruled that Uber drivers are "workers" and not independent contractors. This means that drivers are entitled to rights such as minimum wage and holiday pay. The Supreme Court agreed with the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal .
