Myanmar: Garment workers report several rights abuses at alleged New Yorker supplier; incl. co. response
In March 2024, it was reported that workers at Myanto Industrial are facing a series of violations, including excessive production targets, verbal abuse and workers told to leave their job if they can't meet targets, denial of leave incl. medical leave and wage cuts if workers take leave, day labourers denied permanent employment and facing unfair dismissals, and workers not paid for taking Thingyan holiday leave.
In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited New Yorker and October to respond. They did not.
