British American Tobacco (BAT) statement in response to “BAT in its own words” (report by Christian Aid, Action on Smoking and Health, Friends of the Earth)

We’re disappointed that these campaigners refuse to meet us to talk about the big issues, preferring instead to recycle old, ill-founded allegations and shout from the sidelines...They probably feel our early successes in voluntary corporate social responsibility undermine their case for a mandatory approach.
