DRC: Civil society organisations accuse SOMIKA of polluting river water; with co. response

SOMIKA [Société minière du Katanga] is submitting to the results of laboratory tests to shed light soon on the quality of the dewatering water at its open-pit mine in Lupoto, its officials said after a mixed raid of civil society, local press and an expert from the University of Lubumbashi in two villages surrounding its site located in Lupoto, about 25 km from Lubumbashi.
