...EDF Renewable is present in Mexico since 2001 and already operates 3 onshore wind farms in the state of Oaxaca. EDF Group has been and is fully committed to inform and consult local communities about its projects in compliance with local processes and regulations as well as with international standards related to human rights. 

In Mexico, EDF participates to and supports the current local consultation conducted by the Energy Ministry, SENER, related to the Gunaa Sicaru wind project that the company is developing in the State of Oaxaca. The Consultation is a strictly regulated process that has to be directed by the Mexican Government. The Gunaa Sicaru wind project is welcomed by most of the local communities.
