Georgia: EBRD funds allegedly channelled to Russian company linked with defence industry through Tbilisi City Hall project

EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is accused of funding Tbilisi City Hall to purchase metro cars for the Georgian capital’s metro system from Russian company Metrowagonmash. The latter is part of Transmashholding, whose shareholders are closely linked with the Kremlin and its defence industry.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited EBRD to comment. The response is available below.
