Gran Tierra Energy response regarding the report No more violence: Unmasking Canada at the UN periodic review

Gran Tierra Energy (GTE) believes in building transparent and respectful relationships with communities next to our operations in Ecuador and at the foundation of our engagement is the commitment that we are always willing to dialogue and listen.

The Company is focused on operational excellence in all the places where it operates, creating added value to the communities and regions where it has a presence. We are committed to operate within all national and international regulations, often going beyond that legal framework.

In Ecuador, all our activities and operations are based on contracts signed with the Ecuadorian State and the environmental and social permits granted by its institutions. Gran Tierra Energy entered Ecuador in 2019 and since then the company has set up and participated in more than 740 meetings with the communities next to its area of influence with the objective of transparency and to socialize the Company ́s projects in Ecuador.
