Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has formulated a new action plan to prevent human rights violations, such as discrimination, forced labour, and child labour, throughout its supply chain, including with its business partners. It will also consider improving the hotline through which business partners can report human rights violations by Nissan employees, and will request that business partners undergo a third-party evaluation of their compliance with laws and regulations.

They will also check whether the sources of raw materials they procure are not handling minerals such as cobalt, which are used to fund armed groups in conflict areas.
