In Eastern Kazakhstan, a worker died in an accident at a mine, 19 July 2019

On the territory of the Artemyevsky mine in Eastern Kazakhstan, an employee of a contracting organization died while carrying out blasting work, reported...the KAZ Minerals group of companies...

According to the company, a contractor employee “was exposed to the explosion and died” during blasting operations. The group called the incident an “accident” and reported that work at the scene had been suspended and a special commission had been created to investigate the incident.
